Water Plants

Our first shipment of pond plants has arrived for 2011!

Not all plants are meant to be placed in the water, some are great for incorporating into the edge or in waterfalls.  We are excited to offer a line of pond plants with great "talkie" tags to help decide where to place the plants.

 We are proud to offer:
Water Lettuce--it's an annual but a wonderful addition to the water garden.  These crinkly chartreuse green leaves create beautiful rosettes reaching up to 24" in diameter.
Water Purslane, a creeping ground cover, with succulent-like leaves and small blue flowers.  Good for waterfall areas & containers.
Golden Creeping Jenny, a creeping low ground cover with bright green leaves. Excellent for spilling over walls or waterfall areas.
Douglas Iris, a vigous with pale blue flowers--reaching 1'-2' feet.
Joseph's Coat is a bushy, water tolerant perennial with slender multi-colored leaves with tiny pink burgandy flowers.
Spearmint Kentucky Colonel is a fragrant, edible herb. It has bright green crinkly leaves--grows at the water's edge.
Pink Pickerel has lance shaped leaves with spikes of small pink flowers.  Clumping.  Can be submerged up to 8".
Varigated Sweet Flag is a short grass with white striped leaves. Good for digestible waterways and rock gardens.
California Gray Rush is an evergreen with blue-gray spines and brown seedy flowers. Clumps.
